Rosterio started because managing a shift-based workforce with spreadsheets and group chats is painful, and the tools that existed were either built for office workers or priced for enterprise companies.
We wanted to build a workforce operating system that works the way shift managers actually think: by the week, by the shift, by the person, not by the abstract "resource allocation unit" that enterprise HR software assumes.
That meant building rostering, time tracking, shift flexibility tools, and payroll export into one coherent platform, not stitching five different tools together and hoping the integrations hold.

Simplicity is a design constraint
We remove every step that doesn't need to be there. If a feature takes more than a few taps to use, we reconsider the design.
Built for the floor, not just the office
Most workforce software is designed for HR departments. We design for the person building the roster and the staff reading it on their phone.
Ship weekly, improve constantly
We release improvements every week based on what our customers tell us is frustrating them. No annual release cycles.
